Larson Electronics: Stainless Steel Fluorescent Light Fixture

Larson Electronics debuts Stainless Steel Fluorescent Light Fixture on a television series of “The Strain”

Industrial lighting equipment leader Larson Electronics has experienced significant expansion into the film entertainment industry. Larson Electronics’ line of industrial grade explosion proof lights and heavy duty spotlights continue to be a popular equipment choice in cinematic productions with their latest appearance in the FX television series “The Strain.”

Larsen Electronics Fluorescent Light FixturesLarson Electronics’ lighting products have been used in several big screen movies including Total Recall, Max Payne, Robocop and The Incredible Hulk as well as television series such as Person of Interest, True Blood and Grey’s Anatomy. In the process of filming the second season of “The Strain”, producers have chosen the HALSS-24-2L to be part of the filming set décor. The rugged design and high performance of these industrial grade lighting products have lent themselves well to the production of today’s action and sci-fi thrillers. This hazardous location fluorescent light fixture is designed to withstand high vibration locations and the rigors of wet and corrosive marine environments.

This Class 1 Division 2 rated fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials including stainless steel housing, a poured gasket for reliable sealing and an impact resistant acrylic diffuser. Corrosion resistant stainless steel latches secure the lamp cover to the housing to provide a firm lock against the poured in seal to prevent drips and water intrusion. This fixture is ETL844 rated and Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D approved. It carries a 595 marine rating and meets US Coast Guard specifications. Stainless steel brackets are attached at each end of the fixture which enables it to be simply secured to any surface. The mounting brackets provide flexibility in setting the angle of the fixture and three through holes provide sufficient mounting for any environment. This fixture has an electronic multi-voltage ballast that works with 120V, 220V, 270V, and 277V.

“The unique, rugged look of our explosion proof lights seems to lend itself to a variety of movie sets,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “We take pride in bringing the latest advanced technology to the industry as well as the average customer.”
