Media Alert: Siemens offers one-stop shop for pass-by noise testing and engineering
Earlier this week Siemens expanded its portfolio of LMS testing solutions with new hardware components for its Pass-by Noise Testing and Engineering solution. Siemens now offers a one-stop shop for pass-by noise testing scenarios with its LMS SCADAS Pass-by Noise Hardware. Siemens now covers all the necessary hardware and software for exterior and interior pass-by noise testing, analysis, and engineering, as well as calibration and maintenance.
Pass-by noise testing is a mandatory type approval test for motorized vehicles to ensure that the acoustic emission is below the levels defined in international regulations such as ISO 382 and its revisions. Once a well-defined procedure, pass-by noise testing has become a challenging task as government institutions have mandated a drastic reduction of acceptable noise limit values. ISO standards have also recently changed to reflect urban traffic conditions.
