AirViz Modeling Tool from MacroAir Now Available

Free Version of Product Specing Puts Airflow of MacroAir HVLS Fans at Users’ Fingertips

AirVizMaking the performance of its fans visual and readily available to anyone interested in high volume, low speed (HVLS) fan technology, MacroAir’s new web-based version of AirViz, a fluid dynamics modeling tool, gives customers confidence in the company’s fan performance before making a purchase.

Based on advanced computational fluid dynamics modeling adapted specifically to MacroAir fans, AirViz generates pre-simulated images and 3D motion videos that best match a user’s building specifications. The easy-to-use, web-based tool allows users to visualize fan coverage, test different models to see how air conditioning unit set points may change, and gauge how many fans will be needed to create optimal airflow.

AirViz is free to the public and available on the company’s website:

“AirViz allows our customers to test and spec all five of our fan lines at their own convenience and from any location,” says MacroAir Engineering Manager Michael Danielsson. “We’ve taken the technology that our engineering team uses to create advanced simulations and packaged it in a user-friendly application that will produce performance results instantly.”

Once a user inputs specifications of a particular space, the tool displays pre-simulated fluid dynamics models of the velocity of the airflow shown through colored elements in three different views: overhead, right and front. The resulting visual represents the optimal airflow from the selected MacroAir fan line in an area that best match the user’s inputted building specifications.

“We developed our AirViz tool to showcase HVLS technology, and to back up our stance that we manufacturer not only the highest quality fans, but the best performing fans on the market,” said Eddie Boyd, president of MacroAir. “The distributor response to AirViz was so great that we’ve decided to give our customers direct access in order to take the first step in researching which MacroAir fan may be the best solution for their HVAC needs.”

MacroAir is the industry originator of HVLS fans and today manufactures fans for commercial applications between six and 24-feet in diameter. The company’s patented 6ixBlade™ technology, featuring six airfoil blades utilizing NASA-engineered wing design, is standard on all fans. MacroAirfans are covered by a 12-year limited warranty on all parts with the exception of the blades, hub and frame, which carry a lifetime warranty.
