The family-owned firm is focused on the acquisition of similar family-owned businesses in need of an exit strategy as well as entrepreneurs looking to sell their product or technology.
A subsidiary of Wilson Tool Enterprises, Wilson Venture Group leverages more than 45 years of operational and acquisition experience, with eight previous acquisitions on four different continents.
Ken and Ruth Wilson founded Wilson Tool Company, as it was originally known, in the basement of a building in the warehouse district of St. Paul, Minn., USA. Over the years, organic growth, along with company acquisitions in the metal fabrication field, allowed Wilson Tool to grow from a simple tool and die shop into the world’s largest independent manufacturer of tooling for the sheet metal industry.
